Friederike Weidner studied Dramaturgy and Modern German Literature at the Bayrische Theaterakademie and the LMU Munich as well as philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt. From 2013 to 2017, she worked as a production dramaturg and as a member of the artistic direction at Theaterhaus Jena. From 2019 to 2020, she was a freelance editor for the program “Auf ein Wort…” with Michel Friedman at Deutsche Welle. From 2020 to 2023, Friederike Weidner worked as assistant to the board and project manager of the artist in residence program “ArtNature/NatureArt” at the Crespo Foundation Frankfurt.
As a freelance dramaturg, she develops and supervises theatre/performance projects and interdisciplinary formats at the Berliner Festspiele, the Staatstheater Bremerhaven, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, the Landungsbrücken Frankfurt, and the SCHIRN Kunsthalle Frankfurt, among others.
Since November 2024, Friederike Weidner has been the scientific and administrative coordinator of the RTG “Organizing Architectures” at Goethe University in Frankfurt.
