Chris Dähne is a research associate in the Department of Art and Architectural History at TU Darmstadt since autumn 2025. In her DFG-funded project Experiments in Process, she investigates the scientific-based architectural and design teaching of the Building Department at the HfG Ulm (1953–1968) and traces its international impact. In preparation for this research, she co-curated the exhibition Programmed for Hope – Architectural Experiments at the HfG Ulm (15 February–26 October 2025) and co-edited the accompanying publication Programmed for Hope – Architectural Experimentation at the HfG Ulm Building Department (av edition).

In the summer semester of 2025, she served as visiting professor for the history and theory of architecture at Freie Universität Berlin. Previously, she was a research associate and co-leader of a subproject in the LOEWE Excellence Cluster Architectures of Order at Goethe University Frankfurt. Chris Dähne studied architecture at TU Delft and interior architecture at Hochschule Darmstadt, earning her PhD at the Institute of History of Art, Architecture and Urbanism (IHAAU) at TU Delft. She gained international experience as a visiting researcher at Waseda University, Tokyo, as a guest lecturer at TU Delft, and through teaching positions at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Goethe University Frankfurt, and TU Darmstadt.

Her work links modern architectural history and theory with the analysis of knowledge forms and practices emerging at the intersection of media, technology, and design, exploring architecture as a methodical and socially embedded practice.
